Service Description
Mondays | 2:30 to 4:00 pm | January 4 to March 22 | 9 classes No class January 18 (MLK Day), January 25 (district PLC day), or February 15 (Presidents' Day) Community Room at Whidbey Coffee, Burlington | Grades 2 to 12 A real, hands-on sewing elective built for homeschool life. No patterns, no worksheets. Just fabric, a machine, and a project your student actually chooses. This winter's projects are made for the season: fleece gloves, scarves, hats, cozy stuffy, and a patchwork heart pillow. Everyone works at their own machine, on their own project, at their own pace, so a second grader and a high schooler can share the room and each be exactly as challenged as they need to be. A daytime slot that fits a homeschool schedule, real transferable skills (measuring, cutting, problem-solving, finishing what you start), and a small group with real one-on-one guidance. Includes a sewing machine and all fabric, thread, and notions for every project (bring your own machine if you'd rather). Taught by Stephanie Philbrick, founder of Positively Sewing, a self taught designer with over 15 years of sewing experience, her own collections, and fashion show work behind her, now teaching in small groups so every student gets real attention. Tuition is 3 monthly payments of $150. Returning students receive an auto discount of 10% Siblings receive a 15% discount; code "2ndStudent" Looking forward to seeing you all this winter season! Please reach out if you have any questions. Ms. Stephanie Please note: All registrations are nonrefundable. Registering reserves your seat for the full session, and payment plans are a commitment to all scheduled payments.
