Sewing Classes Have Landed in Stanwood!

Positively Sewing is bringing real, hands-on sewing classes to Stanwood, graciously hosted by Stanwood Cupcakes on 271st St NW. No patterns, no worksheets, no precut kits. Just a machine, real materials, and a student building something they made themselves, every single week.

Starting this Fall, three classes run out of Stanwood Cupcakes, so there's a spot for almost any student in the Stanwood and Camano area, homeschooled or not, starting at grade 2.

Every class includes a sewing machine and all fabric, thread, and notions needed for every project; bring your own machine if you'd rather use it. Projects change with the season, so what students make depends on their own desired journey, but every student leaves every session having built something themselves.

Taught by Stephanie Philbrick, founder of Positively Sewing, a self-taught designer with years of experience across her own collections and fashion shows, now teaching the next generation in communities across the Skagit Valley.
