Tuesdays | 1:00 to 2:30 pm | Fall Quarter: November 3 to December 15 6 classes: Nov 3, 10, 17 · Dec 1, 8, 15 (No class Nov 24) This is a beginner course for adults, and no experience is necessary. Class 1: We learn about the machines, safety, needles, thread and fabric types, and practice running the machine on scraps before starting projects. Class 2 and beyond: We start projects. We'll talk through design and the features you want, then build. When one project is finished, you start the next. Every project you learn is one you can make at home for yourself or as a gift, and tweak to make even better next time. Choose your project! Apron, Patchwork Table Runner, Cozy Sweater, PJ Bottoms, Knot Bags/Purse (great for gifts), Fleece Hats, Scarves, Robes. You are welcome to make more than one project if you want to do homework in between classes! Materials are not included in class pricing. You can purchase materials from me, and we'll go over your options at the first class, or you're welcome to bring your own. Larger projects 3 yards; smaller projects 1 yard; mix and match your fabrics; wash and dry them prior to class. No stretchy fabric; stick to cotton, cozy cotton, or fleece. As a single parent myself, I know how hard it is to carve out time for yourself or fully commit. Trust me, giving yourself permission to be creative and learn a new craft brings so much joy. With that in mind, I built this course with two make-up sessions available at my Burlington location: Full Course: option to pay in full or 2 payments of $120 ($240 total) Reserves your seat for all 6 classes. Pick up: All participants must be picked up on time. Liability Waiver, Medical Consent & Media Release Positive Change, LLC By registering for or participating in any class, camp, workshop, lesson, or event hosted by Positive Change, LLC, I acknowledge and agree to the following: I understand that sewing activities involve inherent risks, including but not limited to the use of sewing machines, scissors, rotary cutters, irons, needles, and electrical equipment, which may result in injury. I voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation and agree to release, waive, and hold harmless Positive Change, LLC, its owners, employees, contractors, representatives, and hosting facilities from any and all claims, liabilities, damages, or expenses arising from injury, illness, or loss sustained during participation, whether for myself or my minor child. In the event of a medical emergency, I authorize Positive Change, LLC to obtain medical treatment if I cannot be reached, and I accept responsibility for any related costs. I grant permission for photographs and/or video taken during programs to be used for promotional purposes. I confirm that I am at least 18 years old or the parent/legal guardian of the participant, and I agree to these terms voluntarily. By checking the box below or signing electronically, I acknowledge that I have read and agree to this waiver. Refunds: All courses, classes, camps, and workshops are nonrefundable once you register. Registering reserves a seat for the full session, so payments are not refunded for missed classes or early withdrawal. Families on a payment plan are responsible for all scheduled payments.
