Service Description
Host your friends for craft night this fall, making witch hats and/or a matching bag! I can bring up to 7 sewing machines for use, and attendees are welcome to bring their own machine from home. I have all the supplies and fabric needed to create a witch hat, but if you have ribbon or extra fabric you'd like to use, feel free to bring it along! This workshop is 3.5 hours long. No sewing experience required, I will teach you every step! You will design a custom witch hat, lined with fleece, and if time allows, a matching bag made from your leftover fabric. What You'll Need (if bringing your own materials): • 1 yard of brocade, canvas, upholstery, suede, outdoor, or another thicker non-stretch fabric • 0.5 yard of fleece • Ribbon, lace, or trim for around the hat • Matching all-purpose thread • Universal needle, size 90/14 Or add a Materials Kit below and I'll bring everything you need, no shopping required. This is an adult class. I can host at my home studio (up to 4 people), or I can come to you! When you request your booking, use the address field to tell me which you'd prefer, either your address, or just note you'd like to come to my studio in Burlington and I'll follow up with directions. If I'm coming to your location, please have ready: • A table or two for students to work at • A nearby outlet for sewing machines and irons How booking works: The $300 includes 4 participants. It does not include travel or materials costs. Please add those to your cart upon check out. Pricing: $75 per additional person. $30 materials kit per person (optional, select below if you'd like me to supply everything), invoiced after confirmation Travel fee (if I'm coming to you): $30 within 20 miles, $60 within 40miles, invoiced after confirmation once we've confirmed your address. Please use the Train Wreck in Burlington to your location when calcuating your travel costs. Every booking request is confirmed by me personally, since group size and location vary, so I can make sure everything's ready for your date. It is completely fine to add students after initial payment, please just let me know before hand to make sure I have enough of everything is needed, have them bring cash! Max is 10. Cancellation Policy
Pick up: All participants must be picked up on time. Liability Waiver, Medical Consent & Media Release Positive Change, LLC By registering for or participating in any class, camp, workshop, lesson, or event hosted by Positive Change, LLC, I acknowledge and agree to the following: I understand that sewing activities involve inherent risks, including but not limited to the use of sewing machines, scissors, rotary cutters, irons, needles, and electrical equipment, which may result in injury. I voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation and agree to release, waive, and hold harmless Positive Change, LLC, its owners, employees, contractors, representatives, and hosting facilities from any and all claims, liabilities, damages, or expenses arising from injury, illness, or loss sustained during participation, whether for myself or my minor child. In the event of a medical emergency, I authorize Positive Change, LLC to obtain medical treatment if I cannot be reached, and I accept responsibility for any related costs. I grant permission for photographs and/or video taken during programs to be used for promotional purposes. I confirm that I am at least 18 years old or the parent/legal guardian of the participant, and I agree to these terms voluntarily.
